Bryan Cooper - Drums & Percussion
Welcome

Bryan Cooper is a versatile musician, and highly sought-after drummer, cajonero, and percussionist in the South Jersey/Philadelphia market. Often described as being a solid "in-the-pocket" drummer, who appreciates the dynamics of the music he is playing, "Coop" has performed with many rock, blues, folk and jazz ensembles, acoustic artists, marching corps, orchestras, and theatrical workshops. Bryan has also performed on rhythm guitar, electric bass, dabbles on keyboard and baritone horn, can provide background vocals, and has even penned a few original songs. He is also experienced in live audio, sound-cueing, recording, and stage lighting.

Bryan just finished a six-month stint with "The Johnny Cash Show", an Atlantic City-based  tribute to the Man In Black. He appears regularly with Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Marc Lancaster, where he plays the cajon with unbridled energy, having appeared at such lengendary Philadelphia venues as the Theater for the Living Arts (TLA) and The Legendary Dobbs, as well as the 2012 Dewey Beach (DE) Music Festival. You can also find Coop appearing in the Philadelphia area with "Rusty & Jan", a folk and soft-rock duo, appearing at many local venues including World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, and World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington, Delaware.  You may also catch him helping to peel the paint off the walls of South Jersey with the blistering blues of Three Cat Clem.  He is also on-call for fill-in with several artsists and bands, including Philadelphia-based Valkyrians.  Thursday nights, you'll often find him at the Barrington Coffeehouse in Barrington, New Jersey, where he is the house drummer for BCH's Wide Open Mic. Sunday nights, he's often at Doctor Lou's Place in Roebling, New Jersey, laying down the bass, occasioanlly picking up the guitar and even singing a song or two.   In his spare time, Bryan also performs in theatrical orchestra, most recently playing drums for the Cinnaminson High School (NJ) production of "Pippin" (Spring 2013) and previously for the Burlington County Footlighters.
