Who Is Bryan Cooper?

Available for fill-in work and other opportunities!
Have drum.  Will travel.

Bryan Cooper is a versatile musician, primarily playing drums, cajon, percussion and some electric bass in the South Jersey/Philadelphia market. Often described as being a solid "in-the-pocket" drummer, who reads music, and appreciates the dynamics of the music he is playing, "Coop" has performed with many rock, blues, folk and jazz ensembles, acoustic artists, marching corps, orchestras, and theatrical workshops. Bryan also plays some electric bass, rhythm guitar, and keyboard, and has even penned a few original songs. He is also experienced in live audio, sound-cueing, recording, and stage lighting.

He also recently performed in the Pit Orchestra at Moorestown High School's 2023 production of Rogers & Hammerstein's “Cinderella”.

Bryan has been a long-time regular on the South Jersey/Philadelphia Open Mic circuit, playing with nearly anyone who needs drums and percussion, serving stints as the house drummer/percussionist at Downey's Pub Open Mics (South Street, Philadelphia) and the legendary Barrington (NJ) Coffeehouse MusiCafe, and has been a frequent player at many more open mic and open stage events, including many hours on bass guitar and drums at the legendary Dr Lou's Place in Roebling NJ.
